Basic Requirements
- a Pentium 4-equivalent PC with 512M RAM and Microsoft Windows NT 4.0/2000/XP. What if I have a Pentium III PC?
- Java Runtime Environment 1.4 and above from Sun Microsystems.
- Internet connection with speed at least 56k bps
Upgrade policy
If you get a license for version 1.x, you can use the software as long as the major version has not been changed, e.g. 1.0.1, 1.2.0, 1.3.2. Usually we do not change the major version unless significant features are added, e.g. adding charting feature to Fund Prices Downloader. However, if the format of the web site that we get fund prices has been changed signicantly for whatever reason, we may have to release a new major version. Please note we will strive to keep up with the changes of web site. However for reasons beyond our control, e.g. the free web site is down or no longer exist, the free web site needs subscription which render the software useless, there will be no refund. All sales are final.
Please do not distribute, share or sell data collected using Fund Prices Downloader. If comitted, your license will be revoked without a refund.
Need a simple technical charting tool?
Fund Prices Downloader is developed to provide fund prices for other specialised software, e.g. fund tracking software, technical charting tool. We believe in best-of-breed approach. Therefore we do not add extra feature into Fund Prices Downloader to keep it's price to be affordable. However based on feedback, most of fund investors are not fund chartists. Some would like to try fund technical analysis, but put off by the process of downloading-exporting-importing-charting. Therefore we are thinking whether we should incorporate a simple technical charting tool into Fund Prices Downloader. We need your feedback. Proposed capabilities of the tool : RSI, MACD, comparison of a few funds in a chart.
