A lot of fund technicians use an stock index as a proxy for a fund. However if a technician has no price and volume information of an index, the next best thing is to analyze major stocks of a fund. The next question is how to gain access to stock charts of a stock exchange if the fund technician is not a stock investor of an exchange.
